Beginner Adult Surf Lessons
Beginner surf lessons are run to the highest standard to ensure lots of progress, we can provide all the surf equipment, from foam surf boards, wetsuits, booties, gloves and hoods in the winter. Unlike other surf schools we organise our surf groups to a maximum ratio of 6 students to 1 surf instructor. Surf lessons are based in Lahinch and are for two hours in the water, normally we spend a minimum of time on the beach, enough to explain safety issues and basic technique. However we believe the best way to learn to surf is to get into the water and experience what its all about.Bens Surf Clinic is the only Lahinch surf school to provide soft top slick bottom surf boards in a range of different sizes to ensure you get the right surf board for you. We provide 5/3mm winter wetsuits all year round so you are comfortable and can enjoy your two hours surfing.
Improver & Intermediate Surf Lessons
Lessons are pitched at the right level for you, you can use your own board or have something from our hard board range. After a quick board check and safety brief,we get straight into the water, do a five minute white water surf to see what your level ofsurfing is and then construct a lesson plan from there. Groups are organise tobe of roughly the same level and your level 2/3 instructor is experience in helping you get the best from your board and yourself, guiding you to new levels in your surfing.
We do cater for larger numbers however we recommend that the group is divided into the smaller groups so each person can get the most out of their surf lesson. Yet we understand if the group do want to stay together and can do so working on a 6:1 ratio.
If you are on your own thats no problem we will slot you in to a group that will suit you too.
